If it did then it would contradict his words in the rest of the Bible.
Proverbs 23:29-35 “Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things. Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast. They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.”
Why would God serve something in his kingdom that he told you not to even look at?
Proverbs 20:1 “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.”
Why would God serve something at his feast that is a mocker or that is raging? He would not do that.
Leviticus 10:8-11 “And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying, Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.”
Why would God serve something in his kingdom that would impair your judgment of what is holy and what is not holy?
Isaiah 5:20-22 “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:”
Why would God serve something in his kingdom when he pronounces a woe upon people who are mighty to drink it?
Isaiah 28:7-8 “But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment. For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.”
Why would God serve something in his kingdom that causes people to err?
Habakkuk 2:15-16 “Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness! Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’S right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.”
God does not want you even giving a drink to someone!!! That is strong words!
Why would God serve alcoholic wine in his kingdom when he pronounced a woe against a person who gives his neighbour a DRINK of it?
No, God is not going to serve alcoholic wine in his kingdom!
You may be thinking, ‘but wait, it says specifically that God is going to make a feast of wines’ for his people.
Yes that is true. But nowhere does it say ‘alcoholic wine’. In the Bible and in history the word ‘wine’ does not always mean ‘alcoholic wine’. There are two types of wines, one wine is alcoholic and the other is non-alcoholic, one is old whilst the other is new. One brings a blessing whilst the other brings a curse. One is fermented whilst the other is fresh squeezed juice.
The wine that God is going to serve to his people is new wine.
Matthew 26:29 “But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
New wine is nothing but juice. See the passages below:
Isaiah 65:8 “Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.”
Notice: “new wine is found in the cluster” That is talking about a cluster of grapes.
Genesis 40:9-13 “And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me; And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes: And Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand. And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days: Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.”
Notice: Clusters of ripe grapes being pressed out in a cup. In the Bible, this is wine (new wine in particular).
Jeremiah 48:33 “And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.”
Notice: that wine comes from the “winepresses” Now; this tells you that what comes from the winepresses is called wine. Again, this is fresh squeezed grape juice (Genesis 40:9-13).
So, it is clear from the above passages that “wine” in the Bible is sometimes nothing more than fresh squeezed juice. That wine would be called “new wine”. This is the wine that men are going to drink at the feast God has prepared.
Now some who have had their mind corrupted will say, ‘but wait, it says God is going to serve wines on the lees, you do not get lees until after it ferments.’ That is actually not true, for one thing not all lees are dead yeast cells. Moreover, just because lees are present in the wine does not mean that the wine is fermented, for juice also has lees (see https://www.wineaustralia.com/news/articles/lees). As a matter of fact, you can actually get organic grape juice that has the lees settled on the bottom.
Moreover, the wines on the lees in Isaiah 25:6 was well refined. That means God had taken all the unwanted rubbish out. The wine God is going to serve is not like the mixed wine of Proverbs 23 (the mixed wine of Proverbs 23 is the wine that is mixed with the yeast that results in fermentation or ‘movement’ as the Bible describes it). Instead, God is going to serve the well refined wine that is full of flavour without the fermentation.
So I say again, God is not going to serve old, mixed, fermented wine that you are not to look at, but rather, new, wonderful tasting wine that is nothing but pure juice! See again Matthew 26:29
It is clear that God is not going to serve alcoholic wine at his feast for his people. God is not for people drinking alcoholic wine. Stay away from it. Do not look at it. Moreover, do not be so simple minded or defiled that every time you read words like ‘cider’, ‘wine’, ‘beer’, etc. that you think of a fermented drink. Let God and his words dictate your mind, not corruptible society.
